Above is my ident. I created it in Illustrator after I chose it to be the final logo. I gave it five sections so When I imported it I could separate them. I had a few animation ideas before this one. Originally I used mash to create eight of the letter Cs you see above. I was going to animate them all flying in the screen but I knew I could come up with better.
To create this Idea I put the separate sections in a MASH Repro Mesh. In a MASH ID node I gave the ID count five. In a distribute mode I tweaked all of the settings to my desire and animated the sections with key frames to go in and out gradually increasing then decreasing over time. To make the letters go through the floor I created a plane, combined the two shapes together and used Boolean Union. After this I created a colour node and at frame three hundred and fifteenth the colour would slowly fade in as the camera zoomed out. I then created another camera angle and created a locator to make the camera do a three hundred and sixty degree side view of the animation before the colour added in.
The shadow was a problem on my original idea so I tried a HDRI image to try and hopefully give a reflection and show some shadow but the shadow was still there. I was going to render an ambient occlusion with the animation to give the shadow.
I am impressed that I managed to find fifty working frames in between the at least on hundred scattered throughout the file. I am going to render this again at home to use for University as it shows I put more effort in and I want that effort to pay off.
